Pharmacare is almost through the Senate!
The Pharmacare bill passed the Senate’s social affairs, science and technology committee, unamended!!! That gets us one step closer to single-payer public healthcare; starting with diabetes and contraceptive medication and devices covered for all Canadians. The bill is set for a third Senate reading on October 10 and on to Royal Assent!
I would like to pass on a huge amount of gratitude to all BC FORUM members and our affiliates who have worked so diligently for years to get Pharmacare this far. Don’t stop now! We are that much closer to a better Canada for all!
