The debate will begin with brief opening statements from each of the Leadership Candidates, followed by questions to be posed by the Moderator(s) and developed by the BC Federation of Labour Officers. A portion of the debate will take questions submitted by those in attendance. Question forms will be available at the registration table as participants enter the debate, and will be accepted until 5 minutes before the scheduled starting time. These questions will be vetted for the purpose of avoiding duplicate questions and to ensure there are questions on a broad range of issues related to workers’ rights, jobs and the economy. Each candidate will have an equal amount of time to respond to each question. At the conclusion of the questions, each candidate will make a brief closing statement. You are invited to stay after the formal part of the program to meet the candidates. This event is open to all union and non-union workers, and the public. |
