Brother Gerry Edwards steps down; Sister Diane Wood acclaimed as BC FORUM Board president

May, 2012 - As a result of Brother Gerry Edwards stepping down, the Board of BC FORUM has acclaimed Sister Diane Wood, BCGEU (retired), as president; Sister Miriam Olney, UFCW (retired) as secretary; Brother Dave Gill, COPE (retired) as treasurer and Brother John Savage, CEP (retired) has been elected as vice-president. Brother Bill Silvester remains as vice-president.

In the most recent issue of The Advocate, Brother Gerry Edwards wrote to members indicating he needed to step aside as president of BC FORUM due to a number of health challenges that were making it difficult for him to give as much time and energy to the position of President of BC FORUM as it demands and deserves.

The Board thanks Brother Edwards for his contributions and wishes him well.
