BC FORUM Annual General Meeting 2019 June, 2019 - BC FORUM President Diane Wood delivered BC FORUM’s annual report to dozens of members and guests at the Annual General Meeting that took place on Wednesday, June 19 at the UFCW 1518 union hall in New Westminster located at 350 Columbia Street. Download and read the 2019 AGM Report here. Many members arrived early to enjoy complimentary coffee and cookies, visit the display booths, and to chat with other members, guests and Directors.  BC Federation of Labour president Laird Cronk, chair of the BC FORUM Board, addressed delegates and thanked them for their valuable ongoing efforts to improve the lives of workers. He described the success of the Federation’s “Workers Deserve Better” campaign that included the highly valued participation and the integral role played by BC FORUM resulting in the BC NDP making serious and long overdue improvements to the province’s labour code. He recognized the importance of relationships, common values and working together in lobbying efforts to educate politicians – shown by the work of BC FORUM – that helps pave the way that enables this hard work to take place.
