Why BC FORUM?

For retirees, BC FORUM keeps the strength of the union movement on your side after you’ve left the workforce. For active workers, BC FORUM helps you plan for retirement – because leaving work should not mean leaving the movement.

In addition to organizing community forums and rallies on issues that matter to our members, we also produce The Advocate, a quarterly newsletter that helps our members stay informed on current issues and initiatives.

Access to Benefits

As a member of the BC FORUM, you will automatically be covered by our $2,500 Group Accident Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance Plan. Spousal coverage is also available at an additional $5/year.

Plus, as a member, you will have access to purchasing Health/Dental Benefits provided through WE Consulting & Benefit Services Ltd., updated in the summer 2024 issue of The Advocate.

Membership

Annual dues for membership are $20 (three year memberships are available for $49)

We recommend you check with your union as some affiliates will pay your first year membership dues (current December, 2019: BCGEU, BCFMWU, HSA, MoveUp, CEU, CUPE Locals 386, 402 and 7000, UFCW 1518, Heat & Frost, and LIUNA 1611).
